Justin L. Smith. Your principal attorney is a 1989 graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in accounting. Further, Mr. Smith was conferred a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit in 1994. He represents landlords exclusively and has practiced in all levels of state and federal court. In over five thousand eviction cases and fair housing-based challenges, he has never lost a case. Mr. Smith is the only lawyer in the state that has an insider’s understanding of federally-funded property management: he has acted as a senior manager for a large property management company. Mr. Smith is often a speaker at Michigan housing conferences and is referred to as “uniquely and exceptionally qualified” by top management personnel of Michigan’s largest landlord organizations. His areas of expertise are evictions, collections, lease modeling, regulatory compliance, transactional law, fair-housing and civil rights defense, municipal and employment law. He currently represents a number of the largest housing providers and landlords in the state.
Jack C. Clary. Mr. Clary is a graduate from top five college, Williams, and one of our country's eminent law schools, Washington and Lee. His specialties include all facets of labor and employment law, so your management company or landlord organization is protected and advanced with the legal saavy and can-do solutions to any staffing challenge. His specialties also include municipal law and government contracting. He is a member of multiple state bar and county associations. Mr. Clary acts as valued counsel affiliate to the Law Offices of Justin L. Smith.
Elizabeth Rittinger. Our team is rounded out with the incomparable courtroom skills of Ms. Rittinger. Her specialties include federal funding recoupment for the public sector program clients as well as civil litigation, summary proceedings act matters (evictions) and landlord collections. Elizabeth has a tough and practical approach that enables the client realize sensible and meaningful goals in the context of landlord tenant relationships.
